Above the moving crowd
The Lensface Crow keeps the size, posture, and black feathers of an ordinary crow. One eye is different: a reflective lens that adjusts rather than blinks. Its head turns in precise increments. It favors roof edges, market awnings, light poles, and gate overhangs where queues and repeated journeys are easy to observe.
Most sightings fall between Tiers 1 and 3, with others in Alderon's curated public corridors. Repeated junctions, glass-bright reflection, duplicated details, and workers clearing a lane are signs of its passage. They become frightening against a route people already know.
When the account divides
The Crow needs attention and a route structure capable of repeating. Sustained attempts to hold a clean account produce incompatible versions. A familiar junction can return while accumulated travel and remembered details stop agreeing; the witnesses need not all be lying for their accounts to diverge.
Residents limit exposure, avoid meeting the lens, and seek an actual way out. These local practices are not a guaranteed ritual against repetition. Warner disappeared during a Lensface Crow event; their fate and the complete mechanism remain unresolved.
Checks, reroutes, and official erasure can compound the encounter. The claim that the lens is literally an Eye remains a street rumor. The Eyes are a human, fallible institution; the Crow is fauna, not their controlled agent. An official account and a creature's impossible law are different things.
